Welcome to SOSUCCA

Welcome to the official Website of the South Sudan Community Change Agency (SOSUCCA). It was founded in 2009 as a students’ organization formerly known as WEUSA. Throughout the past six years of existence, SOSUCCA has collaborated with over 7 partner organizations and implemented over 12 community projects, including HIV/AIDS, civic education, peacebuilding, child protection, food security and women empowerment.

While taking youths at the forefront of our activities, a value we share with many institutions, SOSUCCA has been recognised for its work by Youth Service America.

SOSUCCA envisions South Sudanese Communities free of Poverty, HIV and health problems and a society where everybody is valued, respected and lives in a Peaceful and Democratic Society,

Our mission is to Educate, Empower and build Capacity of South Sudanese Communities by initiating development Projects in order to address the root causes of poverty and injustice and transform them for positive change.

SOSUCCA objectives are built on the following core values:

• Transparency and accountability
• Honesty and Integrity
• Self‐reliance
• Commitment and sacrifice
• Equality and Caring
• Unity and Solidarity
• Humility and Respect
• Creativity

SOSUCCA thrives in being a non-political and non profit-making organization that shall collaborate with the government in the national recovery and development effort. It hinges on the need to develop marginalized communities through passing the knowledge of how to utilize the available resources and opportunities within their reach which in turn leads to their development in all spheres of life.

Bearing in mind the situation in South Sudan where rural communities lack basic services, SOSUCCA believes in undertaking community mobilization by working closely with the community and its leaders so as to understand the dynamics and structures within the community which in turn enables SOSUCCA to realistically build on the capacities and strengths of the community to find solutions to identified problems.

Share with us for a better South Sudan.
